Audition for the Houston Chamber Choir

As the recipient of the 2018 Chorus America Margaret Hillis Award for Choral Excellence and the American Prize, we are proud to offer rewarding opportunities to some of the country's leading choral talent.

Interested singers of all voice parts are asked to submit a resume and sound clip to be considered for an audition.  Applicants must have significant choral experience and a degree in music.  Second round auditions will take place in person at Christ Church Cathedral, 1117 Texas Avenue in downtown Houston.  Applicants will be notified of specific audition dates on an individual basis.

The Houston Chamber Choir is a professional ensemble that compensates its members for all rehearsals and performances.  As a resident ensemble members must live within driving distance of downtown Houston and be U.S. citizens or have a valid work visa.

The Choir will travel to Auckland, New Zealand in July 2020 for the 12th World Symposium on Choral Music. 2019-2020 Choir members will enjoy the trip of a lifetime! To learn more click here.
