Carolina Borja studied Industrial Design in Mexico City with a minor in Popular Mexican Craft, her passion for Contemporary Art and Communication resulted in a professional career in Marketing and Development for creative organizations. Prior to her role at the Houston Chamber Choir, Carolina was Cultural Director at The Route of Friendship, a sculpture corridor built for the Mexican Olympic Games of 1968. She planned and executed the yearlong program along the 22 monumental sculptures and their native gardens which included; film festivals, art exhibitions, performances, music happenings to name a few. The renowned iconic public artworks evolved with the rapid growth of the City and demand a creative and upbeat marketing strategy to keep up with their vibrant events. She finds a thrill and opportunity in communicating out of the box, a true believer that art nonprofits can get creative in an organic way with self-promotion.
As Marketing Manager for the Houston Chamber Choir she will be in charge of communicating the remarkable work of our choir across different outlets, enhancing our unique program, education outreach, and all that is to come! We are excited to continue spreading our work in a national and international arena.
Carolina also creates beyond office settings and is an active emerging sculptor in Houston TX. You might find her exhibiting in local galleries and working on other public art endeavors.
