Marianna Parnas-Simpson, graduated with a master’s degree in Choral Conducting from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, Russia. She founded the award-winning St. Petersburg Girls’ Choir, Kamerton, which she directed for ten years before coming to the United States. Since 1999 Ms. Simpson has taught at Parker Elementary School, a Houston ISD magnet school for music, and created a chorus program that grew from 30 to 250 children, grades 1-5. In 2005, she was named Teacher of the Year by her fellow teachers at Parker Elementary. In 2006 Marianna founded the Treble Choir of Houston. From 2008 to 2010, Ms. Simpson served as the Artistic Director of the summer program for the American Boychoir in Princeton, New Jersey. Her choirs have been selected to perform at Carnegie Hall, Houston Symphony, Organization of American Kodály Educators Conference, TMEA, and ACDA multiple times. She has conducted numerous children’s chorus festivals and workshops in the United States and internationally. Marianna Parnas-Simpson is the founding member of the Houston Chamber Choir.

The Treble Choir of Houston at Christ Church Cathedral is an acclaimed ensemble of young women grades 6-12 that provides outstanding musical training in a nurturing environment. Coming from widely diverse backgrounds, these young women are united in their pursuit of musical excellence. The Choir’s mission is to help each singer realize her full potential as a person and as a musician. Treble Choir motto: Helping young women to find their voice. The Treble Choir was founded in 2006 by Marianna Parnas-Simpson. The ensemble performs widely in the community and service as the resident children’s choir at Christ Church Cathedral (Episcopal), Houston.  Some of the Choir’s performance highlights include featured performance in Carnegie Hall, the International Choral Festival in Powell River, British Columbia, and the Washington National Cathedral. Treble Choir has been named a finalist of the 2021 American Prize National Competition in Youth Choirs Division. Treble Choir is extremely proud of its collaboration with the Grammy Award Winner, Houston Chamber Choir such as the annual Christmas at the Villa De Matel concert and the professional recording of Bob Chilcott’s cantata CIRCLESONG that released and distributed internationally by Signum Classics label.
