FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE

  • We advise arriving at least 15-20 minutes ahead of the provided concert start time. Concert start times can vary, so please check your ticket for the correct curtain time. Box Office and Will Call open up to 45 minutes before the concert starts.

  • Latecomers will be seated at the first suitable break in the concert. One of our fantastic staff will be able to assist you. We are unable to hold previously reserved seating after the concert has begun.

  • We welcome fans of all ages, but very young children can sometimes have difficulties sitting through a performance. Children who are able to sit quietly through an entire performance, which can run from an hour to two hours, are welcome. We recommend a minimum age of seven years for this reason. Children under the age of fourteen must be accompanied by an adult. Unless the programming is specific to children and family audiences, please use discretion in choosing to bring a child to a performance.

  • Yes. Wheelchair and companion seating is available. We recommend calling our offices at 713-224-5566 to reserve these seats in advance.

  • Here in Houston, almost anything goes! You will see people in suits and dresses and other people in jeans and a polo shirt. There is no strict dress code for our concerts, but as a rule, “smart casual” is a good guideline. Due to our venues being air-conditioned, we recommend bringing a jacket or sweater with you to the concert.

  • Upon entering the performance venue, each patron will receive our new, reduced-size concert program book, designed to provide you with the essential at-a-glance information for the performance. To access a more comprehensive overview of the concert, including text and translations, artist bios, and program notes, simply use your smartphone to scan the QR code located on the program book. We're establishing a blend of traditional and digital, aiming to be more environmentally conscious, while enhancing your concert experience with rich, accessible content.

  • Unfortunately, we do not allow the use of cameras or any audio or recording devices during a performance. Photography, cameras or any audio or visual recordings of performances is strictly prohibited.

  • If you are not sure, the best bet is to follow the rest of the crowd. Generally the best time to applaud is after the music has stopped, the conductor has lowered their arm to their side, and has turned to address the audience.

  • If a concert is affected by bad weather, you will receive a call and email. Patrons are also encouraged to check our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for up-to-the-minute updates.

  • It’s important that we maintain accurate records of your contact information. If anything changes, please notify us by calling our offices at 713-224-5566 during operating hours: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. or email us at info@houstonchamberchoir.org

  • We do not offer refunds for tickets. Instead, we can convert your tickets into a tax-deductible donation. Please make arrangements for the donation conversion 24 hours prior to the performance date by contacting info@houstonchamberchoir.org

  • Yes! Tickets can be reissued at any time by emailing us at info@houstonchamberchoir.org or held at Will Call at your request.

  • As a season subscriber or concert VIP you gain exclusive access to our new pre-concert lounge area, designed for you to relax and savor a selection of drinks and light bites before the performance begins. As details vary depending on each concert venue, updates will be released to you prior to each concert.

  • Yes; the lounge also hosts a dedicated Will Call and Information Attendant. If subscribers and concert VIPs have last-minute ticket inquiries or any concert-related questions, our attendant is there to ensure a smooth experience.
