ANCESTORS’ DREAM

Dr. Anthony Trecek-King, guest conductor

Saturday, Mar. 11, 2023, 7:30pm | South Main Baptist Church

When considering music by Black composers, our first thought is to turn to spirituals, work songs, and gospel music. Our concert broadens this view by presenting seldom-heard works by Nathaniel Dett, Harry Burleigh, Undine Smith Moore, and others who believed that Black composers should embrace the spiritual but never be limited by it.

The Houston Chamber Choir is pleased to welcome guest conductor, Dr. Anthony Trecek-King for our upcoming concert, Ancestors' Dream on Saturday, March 11th at 7:30pm at South Main Baptist Church.

Join us after the concert in the fellowship hall for a reception of decadent desserts catered by Nuksy's!

CONCERT LOCATION

South Main Baptist Church, Houston
