Deborah edquist

Deborah Paola Edquist, mezzo soprano, is a music educator based in Spring, Texas.  She graduated from the University of Houston in 2024 with a Bachelor of Music.  During her time at UH, she sang with Concert Chorale under the direction of Dr. Betsy Cook Weber, competed with the ensemble in several international choral competitions throughout Europe, and directed the choral a cappella group Floreat.  She also taught at-home, private voice and piano lessons.  Deb currently serves as a choral director at Hildebrandt Intermediate School in Klein ISD.  She is excited to begin her first season with the Houston Chamber Choir.
