“Being able to sing with the Kinder Chorus and the Houston Chamber Choir was a big honor. After singing, I was sitting in my seat amazed by the beautiful songs and voices. I was thinking, ‘wow how amazing is this?! I get the honor to sing with these amazing choirs.’ At the end of the concert when we all joined and sang together, I felt overjoyed!”
— Maille, Parker Elementary School Advanced Chorus, 5th Grade Student, and performer in our 2018 season opener, This Is Why I Sing

This holiday season give the gift of music! A charitable contribution to the Houston Chamber Choir is a gift that will delight and inspire many across our community and will impact our diverse range of artists all season long. Our voices rejoice and we continue to bring to Houston audiences the highest caliber of choral talent because of YOU!

Houston Chamber Choir is a professional ensemble in which all singers are fully compensated for every rehearsal and performance. In contrast to choral ensembles composed of volunteers, we are proud to offer fully paid opportunities to the city's finest young singers and in turn, bring diverse and beautiful music to our city.

Give to the Annual Fund

Your generous gift is applied to a variety of items throughout the year such as:

  • Fully compensating each and every one of our Choir members as well as hired instrumentalists, dancers, and the other special guest artists presented each season!

  • Funding allows us to present all of our concerts throughout the year, including free performances at Miller Outdoor Theatre where thousands of Houstonians are welcome to enjoy an evening of music, and our annual invitational choral festival, Hear the Future which impacts hundreds of school age children each year.

  • Our educational outreach program, Rise Up Singing! bringing music into disadvantaged elementary schools in the Houston area.

  • Future recording projects and new works and commissions. This season we are delighted to present Behold The Star! Christmas at the Villa, a brand new CD featuring selections from Villa performances over the years. In April 2019 Signum Records will release our 5th album, The Complete Choral Works of Maurice Duruflé, recorded with world renowned organist Ken Cowan!

The Houston Chamber Choir again confirmed itself as one of the jewels of the city’s cultural scene.
