“We should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of our lives, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.”
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The Houston Chamber Choir wishes you, your family, and your friends a renewed sense of the beautiful during this holiday season, and throughout the coming year. Below are the personal reflections of our musicians as they share their heart for the choral art.

A Letter from the Executive Director
Dear Friends,
The cooler weather has finally come to Houston and it has certainly put everyone in the Chamber Choir office in the holiday spirit. For me, originally being from out of state, this seasonal time means getting to see family and take some much needed time to rest up and prepare for the New Year. I may not originally be from Texas, but as the saying goes, “I got here as soon as I could!”
As we look to the New Year, it is hard to believe we are almost already halfway through our 22-23 season, A Heart for the Choral Art. As you consider supporting the Houston Chamber Choir with our Winter Annual Campaign, I hope you will look to our social media platforms to get to know us a little better. Olivia Duncan, our Communications Manager, and our choir members have been hard at work making highlight videos to share with you all. You can find their stories on our Instagram page (@houchamberchoir) and in upcoming e-blasts coming to your inbox. Just as we spend time with family around the holiday time, we hope that this special glimpse into the Houston Chamber Choir will make you feel more connected to us as we all enjoy the spirit of the holiday season.
With gratitude,
Brian Miller, Executive Director
