Rebecca Castillo
A native of Houston, Texas, Rebecca Castillo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Sam Houston State University and a Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. She taught in public schools for ten years and led award-winning high school and junior high choirs. Currently, Ms. Castillo is involved with the Segundo Barrio Children’s Chorus, where she works with the performing ensemble, Los Jóvenes Cantantes and the training choir, Principiantes. She also performs with several professional choral ensembles including the Houston Chamber Choir, EXIGENCE (Sphinx Organization), Mercury Singers, and Pasión (GRV). Additionally, she has been a local soloist with the Pasadena Philharmonic Orchestra and the Clear Lake Chamber Ensemble. Presently, Ms. Castillo serves as the Director of Music and Worship at Trinity Downtown in Houston, Texas.
