Art & Soul
Houston Chamber Choir’s 2018-2019 Season

More than a cute riff on Hoagy Carmichael’s classic ‘Heart and Soul,' Art and Soul expresses how we make music.

By their passion, devotion and hard work, musicians such as I heard aren’t merely performing. They are keeping beauty and hope alive in the world.

Take a period instrument performance of Bach’s Mass in B Minor. Now add a concert featuring commissioned works by Grammy-winning jazz bassist Christian McBride. And how about a program of Mexico’s choral heritage stretching from 16th-century polyphony to modern day. Finding a chorus that can bring all of this repertoire to life at the highest level? Now that is a truly special ensemble.

We are a professional ensemble dedicated to increasing the awareness, appreciation, and esteem of choral music through performance, outreach, and education.
